Holmes gets MACCC win over Hinds, 61-50
The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs knocked off the Hinds Community College Lady Bulldogs here Thursday night, 61-50
Holmes improves to 14-9 overall and 6-6 in the MACCC. Holmes travels to Itawamba at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Hinds led 11-9 after one period of play before Holmes outscored Hinds 24-9 in the second half to hold a 33-18 lead at halftime. Hinds outscored Holmes, 32-28, in the second half, but it wasn't enough.
Darranya Wright and Makenzie Hankins each led the Lady Bulldogs with 10 points. Amaijah Smith and Danielle Luckey each followed with nine points. Wright had eight rebounds while Luckey had seven.
